Rebekah Lovato Piatte has spent her career working as a writer, editor, and product developer on hundreds of books and products. She has worked in-house for Klutz Press and later at Insight Editions, where she developed, launched, and managed the IncrediBuilds imprint. She has also worked as an independent contractor for a variety of clients—from Kiwi Co. to Scholastic, Inc. Her expertise is in children’s publishing, with a particular love for STEAM topics and highly visual books. 



An avid reader from an early age, Rebekah knew she wanted to work with words. When her cousins played superheroes, she chose to be Lois Lane—determined to chronicle their adventures. While pursuing her degree in English, she worked at the local newspaper as a receptionist, helping out the newsroom whenever possible. Then, after a stint at a local magazine, she landed her first in-house book publishing job at Klutz and was bitten by the bug. Rebekah is a California native and resides in the Bay Area with her husband and son.
